Wie die einzelnen Lektionen ablaufen werden
1. Art supplies
You can find a full list of tools and supplies needed for the course below.
For every course, we prepared packages of art supplies that are ready to be conveniently shipped right to your door. Using our years of experience, we assemble packages full of high-quality art supplies that include everything you’ll need to complete your course, at a very friendly price.
But of course, getting your own supplies is always an option, too.
Below you can find the list of supplies needed to complete the course.
2. Technical issues
You need a functioning computer with a stable internet connection to participate in online courses. A screen of at least 12” is recommended to make sure you can see all the details clearly. Don’t use a smartphone to watch the lessons – the screen size is too small to deliver the intended experience and lesson quality.
We will ask you to download a couple of free apps designed for comfortable online live lessons before the start of the course. Have no fear, all details and simple installation guides will be provided to make sure everyone can do it.
3. Live lessons in real time
Teachers use live online meetings to engage their small group of students, with lessons taking place once a week, on a same day and at the same time. The courses are designed for complete beginners and intermediate artists. Your teacher will create their own work step by step, at the same pace as the students, explaining, supporting, and helping the student along the way.
Every lesson starts with a short, interesting theoretical introduction. Then you will move on to small practical exercises and finally, you will be following in the teacher’s footsteps, creating your own beautiful artworks, little by little. You will do great, even if you are a complete beginner just starting to discover the world of art and creativity! Your teacher will take time to look at each students’ work multiple times during each lesson, offering guidance and advice.
All course times are in UK time (GMT).
4. Don't worry about missed lessons
It’s okay if you miss a lesson. They are recorded, and you can access the recordings on demand and simply catch up on the missed lesson whenever you want – they are available during the entire course and for several months afterwards. You will also get access to presentations and links to further resources.
5. How long is the course?
There are 8 lessons and a final bonus lesson at the end. Each lesson is 3 hours long.
Lessons take place once a week, on the day and at the time of the first lesson.
In total, you’ll get 27 hours of amazing interactive live lessons with the best teachers, as well as lesson recordings, tips, references to further reading, and other materials.
6. How much is it?
There are two options to choose from:
– Get the course in a bundle with a full package of art supplies
– Get the course only; you’ll have to get the supplies yourself
Course + supplies bundle: 370 £. The bundle comes with all art supplies needed for the course worth 100 £, and peace of mind for you.
Course without supplies: 320 £. We will give you a list of supplies that you will have to buy by yourself.
7. What else do I need?
To get the best experience, make sure you have enough space and a good light source (a desk lamp, at least), a desk, a chair, some paper tissues, and water to clean brushes.
As for the internet connection, one that can play YouTube videos well is more than enough. No special computer is needed – if it doesn’t lag too much during daily use, like web browsing or watching films online, you’re good to go! Last but not least, you will need a headset with a microphone to communicate with your teacher.

Wenn Sie YouTube-Videos oder Filme online ohne Probleme ansehen können, dann kann es losgehen :) Ihre Internetverbindung sollte für unsere Kurse geeignet sein.
Was ist, wenn ich nicht sehr technisch versiert bin?
Es gibt keinen Grund zur Sorge. Unsere Online-Kurs Interface ist wirklich einfach und sehr intuitiv. Und wenn Sie doch einmal auf Probleme stoßen, ist unser Support-Team immer bereit, einzuspringen und helfen.
Was ist, wenn ich nicht mithalten kann?
Der Lehrer arbeitet langsam, erklärt und demonstriert sorgfältig jeden Schritt, sodass Sie sich keine Sorgen machen müssen. Sie können sich die Aufzeichnungen früherer Lektionen jederzeit noch einmal ansehen und alles erledigen, was Sie brauchen.

Was passiert, wenn ich nach der Lektion etwas noch einmal durchgehen muss?

Und erwarte keine Noten, denn wir sind keine Grundschule :) Unsere Lehrer begleiten dich immer Schritt für Schritt und geben dir Tipps und Tricks in einer freundlichen, entspannten Atmosphäre.
Was ist, wenn ich «all thumbs bin»?
Wenn du den Wunsch hast, zu malen, zu zeichnen oder irgendeine andere Art von Kunst zu schaffen, dann können dich alle Daumen der Welt nicht davon abhalten! Was bedeutet das eigentlich? Dass deine feinmotorischen Fähigkeiten nicht ausreichen? Das ist etwas, das man mit Übung verbessern kann. Dass Sie eine mentale Blockade aus der Kindheit haben? Wir können gemeinsam daran arbeiten, sie zu beseitigen. Dass Sie nicht genug Geduld haben? Das können Sie lernen. Und bei manchen Techniken ist die Präzision sowieso nicht so wichtig. Probieren Sie es einfach aus! Du wirst überrascht sein, wie viel du schon in der ersten Stunde erreichen kannst :)

She founded a book publishing house, she teaches sketching, illustration and figure drawing, she worked for an Italian agency and she even has energy to teach children art lessons. She is just a well-rounded amazing person, who we are thrilled to have as a member of our team.
Helen
Where to start? Helen is incredible as an illustrator, graphic designer, architect and art historian. She helped launch a lot of Draw Place courses and we get inspired by her everyday. She will assist you with technique, composition and an overall concept. Also she is cute. We rely on her positive vibes and you will also get hooked by her creative enthusiasm.
Stan Solo
We hardly know any material that Stan does not work with very well. He is exceptional with acrylics, markers, sprays, airbrush, drawing and everything else. To top all that, he is always getting better - he sketches, draws, comes up with storyboards and creates comics all the time. His exceptional charisma and a lot of knowledge in the field make him an incredible lecturer. At Draw Place he is in charge of comics, fashion illustration, sketching and illustration.
Alena
Alena has been interested in drawing, pastel and landscapes for more then 10 years, but has decided to become an architect. After studying in various architecture universities in different languages, she has returned to drawing. She teaches courses for beginners, preparation for university admissions and pastel. Alena is very energetic and complements Draw Place team in a great way!

Tomas works for magazines, publishes comics, he is an excellent illustrator and at the same time he is an exciting musician. He is always energetic, outgoing and trying his best to inspire our students to realize their greatest potential. He does his best to help develop the idea, and to make it come true. You can find his own imaginative style in an incredible range of techniques. Tomas is currently graduating from FDULS and we are excited to have such an energetic team member with us.
